Code of Conduct
Our responsibility
contech is a premium company in the electronics industry. We supply intelligent products for innovative markets. We take responsibility for
- our customers
- our services and products
- our employees
- our partners and suppliers
- our environment
The quality-oriented development and delivery of electronic and mechatronic products require a high level of process reliability and attention. This is why contech operates an integrated management system.
Quality management
In practice, we are measured by the degree to which we meet our customers' expectations. The demands on the quality of our products and services are high. Our aim is to meet our customers' requirements in the best possible way and to strengthen their innovative power in the process. In this way, we actively contribute to the success of our customers. This is why contech has been operating a certified quality management system in accordance with EN ISO 9001 since 1995.
Development and production quality
These are some of the guidelines that apply to us:
REACH Regulation No. 1907/2006
EMC Directive 2004/108/EC
RoHS Directive 2012/19/EU
Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC
Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC
WEEE Directive 2004/108/EC
These and many other regulations, standards and directives are taken into account by contech if they apply to the respective development and/or the respective product and/or are required by the respective customer.
Quality capability
Relevant training is no longer a unique selling point. contech aims to develop and deliver quality in accordance with IPC guidelines. This is why contech has IPC trainers and IPC specialists.
Process-related voltage discharges can unintentionally damage components. ESD protection and ESD training are carried out by our engineers and audited by our customers.
Environmental management
Thinking about tomorrow today - technical progress and environmental protection go hand in hand at contech. Under the umbrella of our integrated management system, we keep our emissions and input materials under control.
- Lead-free soldering
contech always solders lead-free. This is mandatory, among other things to comply with the RoHS directive. Of course, contech still has the ability to solder with leaded solder in exceptional cases, if it is absolutely necessary for older services and products that have been on the market for a very long time. - Hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment / RoHS
We prefer to source our components from approved distributors or directly from manufacturers who guarantee compliance with 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) or who impose these requirements on their suppliers. If technical requirements do not permit an alternative solution, we will only deviate from RoHS conformity in exceptional cases and only in consultation with our customers. - Hazardous chemicals / REACH
Our suppliers generally confirm on their websites that their products comply with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.
Raw materials from conflict areas
Raw materials used in electronic components, such as precious metals and minerals, should preferably not originate from conflict areas. According to Title Fifteen (Sec. 1502) of the Dodd-Frank Act, this includes in particular gold, wolframite, cassiterite and coltan from the Democratic Republic of Congo or a country bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo. For this reason, contech prefers to source its components from distributors approved by manufacturers or directly from manufacturers who have agreed to comply with the Dodd-Frank Act and/or prefer to source their raw materials from Asia and/or North America. contech itself is far removed from these mining regions and companies at the value-added stage and does not independently source minerals or goods directly from the countries prohibited by the Dodd-Frank Act.
Health protection and occupational safety
Health protection and occupational safety are important elements of the corporate culture and are essential for contech's business success. Only healthy employees produce quality results. In order to maintain and further improve this high level, contech works together with external partners. In line with the requirements of the employers' liability insurance associations, regular auditing and improvement of occupational health and safety is carried out in close cooperation with an external company doctor for health protection. In the meetings of the working committee, the topics of health protection and occupational safety are dealt with, criticism is voiced, suggestions are translated into measures and subsequently implemented.
contech therefore also expects its suppliers and partners to comply with the relevant laws, ordinances and accident prevention regulations.
